Since 2014 the Northern Virginia Regional Commission (NVRC) working with its non-profit partner, the Local Energy Alliance Program, have operated the Solarize NoVA program to promote solar in the region. To date, the program has resulted in nearly 3MW of new solar.
NVRC has also developed a region-wide tool where you can calculate how much solar the roof of your home and building can potentially generate. Visit the NoVA Solar Map for more information.
